1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sarthi (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. The Service is operated by Sarthi (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

2. Description of Service

Sarthi is an AI-powered family life management platform that helps families manage finance, legal, health, tax, and task obligations across countries. The Service includes a mobile application, web dashboard, and AI assistant functionality.

3. Accounts and Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. The account creator (“Owner”) creates a family workspace and may invite additional family members (“Members”) and external professionals (“Guests”). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. Subscription and Billing

The Service is offered on a subscription basis. Billing is managed exclusively through our website (sarthi.family) via Stripe. The current plan is $49/month for up to 5 family members. A 14-day free trial is available for new accounts.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5. User Roles and Permissions

Owner: Full access to all features, family management, and billing. Can invite and remove members.

Member: Access to shared domains, personal tasks, and briefings. Cannot manage billing or family settings.

Guest: Scoped access to specific domains and entities as granted by the Owner. External professionals (lawyers, accountants) invited per domain.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
  • Interfere with the Service's infrastructure
  • Upload malicious content or malware
  • Use the Service to store content that violates any applicable law
  • Resell or redistribute the Service

7. Data Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the data you input into the Service. We do not claim any ownership of your content. You may export your data at any time in JSON/CSV format. Upon account deletion, all data is permanently purged within 30 days.

8. AI Features

The Service includes AI-powered features (chat, briefings, research). AI responses are generated based on your family's data and should not be considered professional legal, medical, or financial advice. Always consult qualified professionals for important decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any missed deadlines, incorrect AI responses, or data loss beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time. The Owner can delete the entire family workspace, which purges all associated data within 30 days. Individual members may leave a family and delete their personal data independently.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Victoria, Australia.
